Produced in over 2,000,000 examples, the 123 series saloon was one of the most popular Mercedes-Benz models, many of them still in use today, after more than 20 years since the last model of the range has rolled off the assembly line. The W 123 offered a broad powerplant lineup, a superior comfort compared to other cars of the time and technical innovations borrowed from the S-Class, such as the zero scrub radius double-wishbone front suspension, the ABS or the airbag.
