The model hidden under the cover, that appears in this latest set of spy pics, is indeed a 2011 CLS test prototype. More than that, the photographers were lucky enough to find that, by raising the cover a bit, they would be able to admire the fully "naked" dashboard.
When they did that, SURPRISE-apart from some details, it is practically unchanged compared to that of the new E-Klasse.
Hmm, that's a bit strange, from more points of view:
- contrary to what's normal, the dashboard isn't at all camouflaged;
- however, the door panels are completely hidden;the seat controls placed on them are organized on a curved wood trim -- see Photo 1 & Photo 2 - so, it's still hard to judge;
- as this is a test/pre-series car, Mercedes-Benz may have simply installed this E-Klasse dashboard just to trick the inappropriate voyeurs
You see, it's very difficult to say whether this is or not the dashboard of the 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Klasse. However, I'm not afraid to say IT ISN'T.
